A modern approach for a heritage vineyard.

Napa Valley’s Sinegal Estate is a quintessential wine country destination that celebrates the area's original spirit of adventure and exploration. Production was continuous on the estate’s 30 acres through many different generations of winemakers dating back to 1879 before the Sinegal family purchased the St. Helena property in 2013.

The Goal

The team at Sinegal Estate had been using email marketing to communicate with customers, but felt they had not realized the full potential of the channel in terms of engagement or revenue. They approached Good & Gold with a goal of modernizing, optimizing, and generally shaking up their approach to email with creative campaigns and automations.

The Strategy

After a series of discovery sessions to better understand the intricacies and seasonal cadence of the winemaking business, we began to create a gallery of standard email templates for Sinegal Estate. We leveraged existing style guides to create elegant, visually arresting templates that would capture the history and quality of Sinegal’s brand, while also appealing to a younger, tech- and design-savvy audience. We also created a renewed focused on subscriber action, making sure that calls-to-action were clear and prominent in every email while clarifying user expectations within email content.
